Exactly. People want that to happen so bad. I actually think Nicki can do it in a smart, clever way where it reads organic and not a marketing scheme to boost sales.
For instance,
I'ld like to see the creative process behind this era.
Her in the studio
Her talking with producers
Her explaining her evolution from mixtape queen to feature queen to PF to PFRR to PFRRTRU back to features and now what the PP era represents.
I want her to explain to commoners what I've been saying all along:
-mixtapes proved she can rap
-features proved she can steal the show
-PF proved she could blend rap, hip hop, hip POP, r&b and dance into a commercial package
-PFRR proved she can brand herself globally taking extreme risks with a pop/hip hop hybrid
-PFRRTRU proved she still had it in her
-PP will show...and that's what I want her to address.

I'd actually be here for her to put out her videos in conjunction with the tour dvd later on.

For now, the more she tells a story about the process the better.
Videos are just shiny ball syndrome and then it wears off.
Her story will live on forever if captured in a dvd form or something.

Still praying for a double album this era or at least an album of 90minutes plus for double certification.

See, the visual album thing is like the shiny ball syndrome...at first its like OMG
the marketing scheme of a visual album is different blah blah blah but then you peel backthe layers and the hype dies down and you realize only 40% of the visuals are inspiring and the rest are basic as heck and some mimic peers. Now this is not too much shade to the recent one...it also reminds me of the b'day anthology back when i was a fan. It has 4 solid videos and then these cheap poor videos yet it was marketed as a big to do.
Nicki need not take that route.
She will get her 6 singles and a tour which will provide us with enough visuals.
If anything, for stans, bandwagoners, casual fans, new fans:
a 90 minute DVD or BET special or MTV special
addressing the criticism faced, lessons learned, the reason behind the image shift explaining the purpose of mixtape to features to PF to PFRR to PFRRTRU to TPP and its branding purposes would give people a window into her thinking.
Also, female rap and other nuggets that she can address. There's so much opportunity in a documentary than videos that people can like, dislike, have the concept go over there heads etc.
Then go into this like a documentary of sorts and it can resonate and connect with the audience past the initial hype.

I mean people kept quoting and talking about the re up dvd months and months and months after it debuted.
Videos...once another one or two come out...it's kind of forgotten.

I'm not saying that's not a possibility, all I'm trying to say is that she's not going to release a Beyoncé-type visual album with music videos for every song on it like some people are expecting her to. That + the fact that she's most likely planning some sort of surprise release would just be too much similarities.

I slept right before she released the song. I woke up at around 3am to a buzzing sound from my phone. It was notifications from Nicki's tweets. After hearing the song, I'm kind of scared for the album. This is the second song in a row that hasn't been up-to-par with her latest work. To start off, the beat is annoying, Soulja's hook is catchy, but annoying as hell and her bars were medicore. Chi-Raq is a really good song, or a really bad song. It's really depends on the listener. Personally, Chi-Raq is at the moment very slightly growing on me. I hope she realizes why she got acclaim for her work earlier this year. The main reason why LAN got acclaim was because of her new flow, the actual lyrics and the different production. The theme and production of Chi-Raq is great, but her flow sounded so similar to all the other male rappers. Yasss Bish!! is a mess that shouldn't of been released. The theme and lyrics are so annoying. Everyone knows Nicki is rich, Nicki is Queen, Nicki has a big house, Nicki is winning, blah blah blah. She needs to leave those lyrics in the PFRR era. It's time for her to grow as an artist, not just physically, but lyrically too. Instead of following a trend, like what she did with Yasss Bish!!, she should be creating a trend, like what she did with LAN. I partially think Chi-Raq and Yasss Bish!! would've been way better if there were no featured artists. She hinted that the single is coming in 2 weeks. If this was the supposed May 5th surprise, I'd be so pissed! If it is, I can't believe she made us wait almost a month for this mess. Guess I might just have to continue listening to her mixtapes for the next 2 weeks...
