According to scientists they're mixed with arab yes but they've been that way for hundreds of years. Apparenly the average Ethiopian is around 40% arab.
I'm 1/2 Ethiopian though and they never mention this.

I read some genetic studies on Ethiopians and Somalis they are essentially completely African with little to no Arabian blood. Arabians on the other hand have TONS of African blood.
