While sponsors are starting to return to the Los Angeles Clippers, there's also a growing list of LA-area organisations that refuse to be sponsored by team owner Donald Sterling.
UCLA - the prestigious Los Angeles university - announced on Tuesday that it is returning an initial donation of $425,000 from Sterling and rejecting the remainder of a $3 million pledge (£1.8 million) the Clippers owner had made to help kidney research at the school's division of nephrology (kidney study).
In a strange twist to UCLA's rejection, the school said that a "thank you" ad in weekend editions of the Los Angeles Times (above) had been placed by Sterling, not UCLA: ( )

No, they shouldn't. There will be countless more donations made in the future, and none have to be from bigoted, racist jerks. It's important to be upfront and moral about who you take donations from.
Nah. They're still capable of conducting their research without his money and obviously the last thing anyone wants right now is to publicly associate themselves with someone like him And to be honest, publicly rejecting his donation will likely gain them more donations from people who applaud that decision.
This isn't really a great thing. Money for them is still money for students. They'll probably get more donations for this political move than the $3 million would have covered though tbh

true I guess, but if every institution takes the moral high ground, this dude still is going to have $1.9 Billion resting in his bank accounts that I think he needs to give away to repent for his actions and words
