I struggled with weight for a few years before I finally got to my ideal weight. Let me tell you how overweight people feel:
1. They don't wanna hear how much they need to lose weight constantly, they already know this.
2. Don't say "are you really gonna eat that?" or "you shouldn't eat that"
3. They don't like to be singled out in society as a sub-group i.e. "Your thoughts on overweight people?"
4. 9 times out of 10 they know they need to lose weight but it's not easy. It's easy for a skinny person to say "just lose weight" because
MOST of them have never been there. It's not a walk in the park and the struggle does horrendous things to you mentally, physically and emotionally. That's how some overweight individuals develop eating disorders.
5. If you wanna help, say "hey, let's go to the gym" or "hey, wanna take a walk with me" don't patronize.
6. It's their life, if they want a damn burger, give them one
