Snapchat has released a new update to its self-destructing snap and video sharing application, adding video chat and texting features. In a 30-second ad spot, Snap notify users in the application by sending you the video and allowing you to double tap to upgrade your application.

I think you can "save" a text though, in which case the next time you text that person the text(s) you saved will still show up
Amazing reinvention tbh. They definitely needed to add something to keep Snapchat relevant and I couldn't have thought of anything better than that real time video thing tbh. The only thing I'm unsure about is the text feature. I don't feel like it's going to get used much but idk. I've not really had chance to try it out yet but I updated the app before. It looks cool.
