I have lived in downtown since I was born and I have to say it has many pros as well as cons. The good part is that it's more suitable for lazy people who want to have everything close to them, like banks, shops, florists, dog vets etc. But I have to say I sometimes would like to live in a more quiet place because I live in a pretty shady tenement neighbourhood with many poor people and I'm sometimes afraid to walk out at night.

I live in a nice suburban area

It's a walking distance into Town, but it's also pretty quiet and my street is just full of families.

Downtown Vienna, Austria. (An urban district close to central downtown.)

It's great living in an urban area when it's a safe place like here, and with small parks and recreational areas close all around the city too. I'm not scared to go out at night, even if I was female I wouldn't be.
