Lol. Pirating has nothing to do with music sales. You can watch any movie online for free yet movie sales are at an all time high. Nobody is doing anything interesting, there is no hype around albums currently.

Thank the heavens, this industry needs to collapse in order for a new business model for this industry to arise and for hopefully better music to finally infiltrate the mainstream as a result. Ain't nobody want to waste money on **** music in a **** economy.

I think about some of my fave albums from different artists released that sold like 50K and less but debuted way outside the top 10.

It still is tho. For example, the #10 digital song didn't sell anywhere near 140k, which is the equivalent of 14k album sales.

Streaming really is the way. But it's a shame they make such little money off it.

Times change.

Really tho, what did the #200 album sell, I'm curious.

it has to be funny, probably the diferennce beetween #200 and #100 is not that much, artist like Katy Perry can go to shop, buy 1000 Prisms and she will move 100 positions or something like that xD

no then id have albums like the new classic in my discography idts maybe the music being released right now is just sub-par

Spotify's offline mode makes it completely useless to actually buy albums.
It's all downhill from here unless they change the way music is being sold.

Taylor Swift and Adele, and Michael Buble if he's up to it, are here to save the day soon enough.
