I really believe Gaga's initial vision for ARTPOP was probably her best album. Everything about it sounded progressive, and Zedd even said the songs they made didn't cater to radio format. Then we got the album it sounded a bit behind the curve

Tbh,
ARTPOP totally should've been Gaga's immature personal album. Songs about thinking of sex, and smoking pop, and being super glam and vein, with a few interjections about her artistry. The public would('ve) love(d) a song like "Sexxx Dreams", cause it's relatable, but it's still in the Gaga vein. Everyone has had nasty sexy thoughts about another person! "Brooklyn Nights" would be a hit cause it's relatable too. A tracklist like this:
1. Aura
2. Venus
3. G.U.Y.
4. Sex Dreams (feat. Justin Timberlake)
5. Rage
6. Big Bang
7. Icon
8. Do What U Want (feat. R. Kelly)
9. ARTPOP
10. Mary Jane Holland
11. Ratchet (feat. Azealia Banks, Beyoncé, and Rihanna)
12. PARTYNAUSEOUS (feat. Kendrick Lamar)
13. Brooklyn Nights
14. Princess Die
15. Dope
16. Gypsy
17. Applause
would've been so perfect. It would've had everything. A few of Gaga's typical "artsy" EDM songs ("Aura", "Applause", the title track, presumably "Icon", etc.), some R&B-pop bops ("Do What U Want", "Ratchet", "PARTYNAUSEOUS"), a couple of ballads ("Gypsy", "Brooklyn Nights", "Princess Die", "Dope"), and some electro-pop bops ("G.U.Y.", "Sex Dreams", "Mary Jane Holland", etc.). It would've been the ultimate return.
