No, Demi also gets to the top of iTunes and has had three top ten singles and two additional top 20 singles and other Hot 100 hits while Selena has a top 10 and more top 40s. Just because Ariana tops iTunes doesn't mean she's now the best seller of the three. However anything could happen in the future.

Isn't she a current star on Disney? I'm pretty sure that would give her demographic a boost. Is The Way her lead single? If so, how long has it been number 1 on itunes?

Demi only has one gold album as a solo artist and it took over 3 years to hit that plateau
The Way stayed in the Top 10 longer than Heart Attack and peaked higher and if my memory serves me right its also sold more
With more hit singles Ariana could definitely surpass Selena she's pretty much on par with Demi right now. The only thing she has on her is she's had more eras which equates to more singles which why Demi seems more successful when in actuality we all know

She has only had one hit and that is "The Way." Baby I peaked low (and is it even platinum) and Right There flopped harder than G.U.Y. Let me go listen to problem right quick though since it was released today.

Demi has hit #1 on iTunes twice, so she's tied with Ariana on that (I see you decided to omit Demi and pick Selena for that)
The Way might have stayed longer than Heart Attack in the US Top 10 but worldwide it's not even close. Ariana is just not as big yet.
She is not on par with Demi when Demi is selling more than her right now and has a longer career. She is also not on par with Selena because their careers are longer.
Ariana is a growing force and has done cool things but you can't just say she is bigger than both. Look at pages 2 and 3 of the thread with the receipts, don't ignore them!

Her singles were handled poorly and the era ended rather quickly but let's live for now where Ari is currently charting in the Top 10 on iTunes in more countries than Demi or Selena (?) ever have. Or how YT outsold Demi's 1st album WW in far less time or how quickly radio embraced Ariana or how grown folks aren't ashamed to like her bc she doesn't make a plethora of cheesy pop songs that sound like rehashes of past hits.

Selena is just a celebrity who vaguely appears on magazine covers and is associated with Justin Bieber and petty scandals. Her music career is a joke.
Ariana is a true music artist, and the only one who will have longevity. Lets not forget how long Selena has been trying it.

Heart Attack sold more than The Way though, and the peak was only one spot higher.
Demi Lovato has three gold albums, not one.....
We don't even know if Ariana will have more hit singles. For all we know, The Way could be her A Thousand Miles. We have to wait for the future on that.

#1 on iTunes isn't everything. Come & Get It was #2 only behind Blurred Lines. No shade to Demi but Heart Attack was #1 on iTunes but Come & Get It ended up selling more and it's Billboard Position was overall higher.
