I understand how you feel. Your biggest drop yet and not to mention, hits closer to home considering you're the name behind an extremely mainstream smiley set. You should've had this. If it makes you feel any better, and the main reason why I understand this situation, my biggest drop (9th place) was during the smiley challenge as well. And, my first stint in the bottom two was at the hands of my own challenge of all things! Embarrassing. We had a Build-A-Challenge round and my idea got top callout and had the surprise honor to be used as the actual next challenge... and I shamefully got called up to the elimination front.
We'll have our moments. We'll have our points where we wish we could have a redo or just completely erase it but it all adds up in the end; all the effort, time, your contributions, capabilities, and public displays of distress get accounted for and taken into consideration. The judges may not agree with everything, but our deducing skills aren't to be underestimated. And the PDD isn't assumed to be a bad look, it shows you care to some degree. You'll have your moments, but keep a positive attitude and it'll all pay off sooner than later.

I knew I was setting myself up for failure with the smiley challenge by over thinking it. Moving forward I won't question myself as much.
Sorry to see you go. You really impressed me in this competition. Look how far you made it despite being new to this forum. I'm sure you will grow even more and then you can try again.
