A teacher has been stabbed to death at a school in Leeds.
Police said a 15-year-old male pupil at Corpus Christi Catholic College in Neville Road has been arrested.
The woman, who has not been named, was taken to hospital but later pronounced dead.
Det Supt Simon Beldon, of West Yorkshire Police, described the stabbing as an "isolated incident" and said there was "no ongoing risk to pupils or staff. We are working with the school to support pupils and staff at this very upsetting time”.
Mr Beldon added: "The situation is under control and officers, including safer schools officers and members of the local policing team, are currently at the school and are liaising closely with staff. School is continuing to operate as normal".
Mr Beldon stressed that parents of pupils should "not attend the site unless directly requested to do so by the school".
The college has 950 pupils and according to its website it retains "traditional values", describing these as "a strong Christian ethos, a broad curriculum, good teaching and learning, excellent discipline and outstanding pastoral care".
Sad incident, but how do we know it wasn't an accident?
How do you accidentally stab someone to death in a school setting?
Also, the report says the student was arrested, that wouldn't be the case if it was an accident.

RIP to the teacher.
My bad, probably misinterpreted. I just assumed he would of stabbed the teacher with a knife, but I guess it could of been anything sharp, like a pair of scissors.
Please elaborate on how to accidentally stab someone to death.
Maybe it was a class play, but someone swapped the retractable prop dagger for a real dagger unbeknownst to the actors. The teacher was playing the victim. When the student went to "stab" the teacher, he actually did stab her, the blade pierced her heart and she expired soon after.
