It's difficult to explain, really. If Satan does not exist, what exactly is satanism and why does it effect people? Why is it that, as a satanist, you can cast spells and call upon spirits, labeled as "demons", and communicate? Are they just negative energy? Or are they truly evil and demonic spiritual beings? If Satan does exist, why is it that we are more likely to see more of him/her/it than Jesus or God?

Do I personally believe in Satan? Secretly, yes, I do. But intellectually, I always try to convince myself that these are just fairy tales because they absolutely have no sense of logic. But there's things in this world you just can't explain and it's always been a battle with myself when it comes to these topics.

Satanists don't believe in Satan. Satanists believe in you being you own god who guides your own life. "Satan" is essentially a metaphor for the basic negative qualities all humans posses and it's your job to free yourself from them.
