Of course she is losing her appeal, which is why she's moving on. She's not even associated with Disney anymore in any way, shape, or form. Anyone from Disney is 'typecast' as that, it's up to them to try to break from it, like how Hilary did. She as typecast as a Disney tween star, but look at her now.
