Side-note: I don't see the appeal that most GaGa's fans have with Bloody Mary. I don't remember where but I read a review that described it as a "high school attempt of profound poetry" and I agree with that. I find the lyrics so wacky.

I agree but disagree. Bloody Mary has a bit of ARTPOP syndrome. Whenever a writer tries so hard to be a good writer, instead of a natural writer, it comes off as very novice. For example, "he touched my silk skin, caressing it gingerly like a mother touches her new born infant, and euphoria washed over my slender body like a waterfall that cried rainbows" sounds try hard. Gaga drops words like "art" and "Michelangelo" to sound like some profound writer, but I don't really like this method.
BUT...Bloody Mary has imagery that I use. It is a slightly aggressive breakup song and yes, it could have been more heartfelt if Gaga focused more on the emotions than trying so hard to look good. Somehow it works, unlike majority of her try hard lyrics on ARTPOP.
