What is more memorable about Beyoncé is the fact that it was an overnight, out of nowhere success
Not that the music is bad, but the marketing & campaign were so genius that that's what is remembered & will be remembered by the GP for a while

You are partially right. They are right to say the real stars of the music industry now are itunes, spotify, youtube, etc, and that the content doesnt matter so much as the innovative release strategies. If BEYONCE had been PRISM or ARTPOP with similar strategy of no singles, all videos, etc, the same praise would have followed because the delivery was what was actually remarkable. The music could have been something else, and in that way, it was replaceable.

This isn't a Beyoncé drag which leads me to believe that you might not know what a "drag" is or maybe English isn't your forte.

Edit: the title change

Not shading anyone's fave because I like them all and their music. But do people remember Bangerz, Prism, Unapologetic, Nothing Was the Same, Yeezus, Magna Carta, etc? Why are people calling out only Bey?

On topic: they're talking about the music industry and used her album as an example.

So forgettable they took the time to write an article about how its forgettable. Her stategy overshadowed the album, but the album is nowhere near forgettable
Edit: Changed the title

Exactly this... Call me when a real and serious magazine or site has something to say about her. TIME, a prestigious magazine praised her just this week and Metacritic, a serious website that weighs opinions of music critics, had nothing but acclaim for the album's musical content.

And the thing is, if they're gonna talk about how music has lost content and it's all about marketing....this is probably the last album they should use as an example.
When you consider that it's only gotten 2 proper promo spots (Grammy's and Brits)... well...
I don't know why people try to pass off the surprise release as some kind of sure fire marketing scheme. There was a lot more risk than reward involved.

Preach.

AND if the music is so forgettable and bad, why the overwhelmingly positive feedback, making it her best received album of all? People could have trashed BEYONCÉ and called it a day, seeing as it is so obviously forgettable. No surprise release could change the fact something is so forgettable, no? But the public liked it more than your fave's album...why?

Yet Germany is the 3rd biggest music market in the world. Doesn't it also has a say in an album release that allegedly made history?

No. People remember the songs from BEYONCÉ. It feels like almost every song on the album was a hit.

Now that six months have passed, does anyone remember the name of Beyoncé's collection of songs?
|
Well it was self-titled so you'd have to be a pretty humongous dumbass to forget the name of the album.

ARTPOP and PRISM? Now it's obvious you're trolling.
If Britney Jean had been released this way it would have had a 98 on metacritic too right?
