It's such a smash and it went #1 for a reason. It's one of the first Katy Perry songs I got into and everyone loves it, especially the kids. I never knew anyone hated it until I joined ATRL.

The video is horrendous, her worst probably. The song is cute.

I loved the demo... and then I sort of got sick of it, but I've come to like it a lot now.

But POM is probably one of the weakest tracks in her discography.

She rhymes "me" with "me" in the chorus.

It is a very bad song with an even worse video

It's lacking in quality compared to all her other singles. It's the most generic and unmemorable material.

Why everyone hates the video it's cute

The song is ok but the video was basic as all hell. Still single worthy though.

The song is bland and generic radio fodder.

I would like to disagree. It has a movie named after it and all the kids know Part of Me. It's Katy's own form of generic and stands apart from all her other singles.

The bridge is horrendous.

i think uncle is her weakest single, and im not saying that because it didnt hit top 10
chorus wasn't appealing.

It's the only Katy Perry single I don't like tbh.

It's basic. Generic. Plastic. Uneventful.

It's so mediocre and halfassed that I actually hate it more than songs that are legitimately bad.

Like, the vocals and production and lyrics aren't unlistenable or completely awful, they're just so average and lifeless that you know that barely any effort was put into them.


At least with a lot of bad songs you can kind of tell that the writers/producers were actually trying to do something but failed, with Part of Me you just get the feeling that no one gave a damn from the first place.
