To be fair, she wasn't at fault for the accident. She didn't "take away" anything.
Even if it was completely the fault of the boy, she still has NO rights to sue his family.
They had nothing to do with this, and I'm pretty sure they're a bigger victim of this than she is.

I'd love to hear a more in depth story before giving my opinion on it. But it seems this argument could go in many directions, for and against the woman.
