On his 13th week, David Cook tops the Philippines Hot 100 with his cover of “Always Be My Baby” which takes the lead to Rihanna’s “Take A Bow” which is down to #3.
Sandwich is still the highest charting Filipino act on the Hot 100. The band’s single, “Betamax” peaks at #2, the highest peak for any O.P.M. song since Sarah Geronimo’s “Ikaw” which peaked at #2 on the first week of the chart.
Jordin Sparks’ “One Step At A Time” and Chris Brown’s “Forever” are steady at #4 and #5 respectively.
Meanwhile, Mariah Carey’s former chart-topper, “Bye Bye” slips 3-6. Katy Perry is on her second straight week at #7.
New entries in the top ten this week are Coldplay and Sarah Geronimo. Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” vaults 20-8 while Geronimo’s “A Very Special Love” moves 11-9.
Plies’ “Bust It Baby Pt. 2, a song that features Ne-Yo, rounds-off the top ten tier.
Parokya Ni Edgar’s “Akala” is this week’s fastest gaining single. The single jumps 68-22.
6 Cycle Mind’s “Saludo” is this week’s top debut. The single opens at #44. Also new at #69 is Carey’s “I’ll Be Loving You Long Time.”
