I have a friend that used to do this and go on her phone. She thought she was so smart until a car further up the road lost their spare tire and it started bouncing down the road. Anyway, she's lucky to be alive. Didn't have time to dodge because she was on her phone thinking she was so smart. If she had a passenger, they'd be dead. I have another friend who hit a raccoon on a highway, it had barely dodged the car just a little further up the road in the next lane... he looked down for two seconds on the phone and missed the stupid thing slowly making its way in front of his car. He had more than enough time to check his mirrors to see if he could swerve out of the way but instead, he hit it. And it caused over a grand in damage on his brand new Honda. Not to mention the fact that a living creature had to die because he just couldn't resist dicking around on his phone for two seconds. Your peripheral vision isn't that great, you'll miss a lot.
You must be young, so your brain's understanding of risk is actually pretty
underdeveloped still. And I'm guessing you haven't been driving for long, since you seem oblivious to all the random **** that can happen to you while you're driving. Don't worry, you'll figure it out one day. Just hope no one gets hurt when you do learn the hard way.
