I have looong, thick curly hair with botticelli curls. I'm forever trying to put heavy product on it to make it less springy. I'm just too old to have ringlets like a child. I'm 100% white, but if I cut it short enough I have a full blown afro lol. My hair is fine though, not coarse. People ask me all the time if it's real... or even worse, just grab a ringlet and see for themselves.
So unpractical though. My hair gets stuck on EVERYTHING - my purse, bus seats, random buttons on jackets, jewellery (not necessarily my own)... those are all things that have happened in the last 24 hours to me. I can't tell you how many guys have eaten my hair when they try to spontaneously kiss me, haaa.... seriously though, it sucks. No one can touch it either or it'll poof in that spot. Also it sticks to clothes very easily because of the spiral shape, so I have to pick through my clothes individually and pull strands of my hair out manually since the wash won't take it out. I won't even begin to explain the missions to sleep on it or style it.
I LOVE straight hair though. When I have my hair cut short enough, I can straighten it flat... love it. I just sit there petting my head all day because I love that smooth feeling and the sleek look. You can never truly look put together with curly hair, there's always a rogue hair that ruins everything.
One huge benefit of having hair as curly as mine: greasy hair is impossible, it's perpetually dying for moisture.
