This is the correct answer. Nobody (I repeat: NOBODY) wants a third World War. Okay, other than North Korea, but they'd be wiped off the map in a matter of days in a real war.
I would expect a rekindling of the US/Russia Cold War (or maybe even a US vs. China Cold War) before I'd ever expect WW3.
