And Beyoncé peaked with her first album but has still been able to sustain the star power and success. Not to mention has become even more critically acclaimed and celebrated. I doubt we will ever see Lana hosting or performing even on SNL again or being asked to perform at the SuperBowl! Bey remains unbothered. And Drunk In Love's total sales have grown since then. You do realize as time passes the sales will increase from what they were before? And it will cross 2x platinum. It will just take some more time.
I don't care that you didn't talk about touring because you want to try and talk about someone being local when all my faves are grossing more money then your fave will ever see. Lana is a no factor against Beyoncé, Gaga, and Taylor!

Being removed from iTunes and not re-upoloaded yet. It's a mess because the actual song wasn't even the original version.
Lana's SNL was heavily panned yet it was probably the most talked about performance in 2012 and didn't hurt her in the long run. People forgot about it by now. Can't remember any SNL performance from Bey despite being like 16 years into her career and I'm surely not the only one.
Well maybe DiL can pass 2M one day but I wouldn't act like that's anything impressive after being performed at one of the biggest promo platforms from which it received its biggest boost. Not to mention the media response.

Globally seen the song didn't live up to its expectations.
