Hot on the heels of last week’s announcement that the Friday the 13th remake had a director, Deadline is reporting more big news from Camp Crystal Lake.

Jason is heading to the small screen. The report says that the new series “re-imagines Jason in multiple time periods”. They go on to say “The series is contemporary, focusing on the eclectic characters of Crystal Lake who are forced to confront the return of the killer, as new secrets about his wacky family are revealed.”
I am curious on how the show will be contemporary while taking place in different time periods.

First Scream now this. SMDH I would be here for a reboot of the original Friday the 13th Television show though.

They keep remaking remakes right now in horror. Even films that aren't a decade old are getting remakes now...

I wish they would do something like Harper's Island, it was a TV show but it was one long mystery/slasher the whole season. Every episode, at least one character was killed, but it was still one long story with developments and backstory. Plus, it was completely resolved at the end, like each season of American Horror Story. We knew who the killer was, and the killer was taken down. It was not like some Pretty Little Liars mess where they drag the show out over seasons and just keep raising more questions without answering the others. They could easily do this for Scream or Friday the 13th. Each season focuses on one group of people.

Something in the same vein as Harper's Island would work well for this. I'd be here for that.
