Have you ever gotten fired or quit a job before? If so, why? Spill

I'm thinking about quitting mine. I've been dealing with so much BS with my Supervisor. First I got in trouble for "gossiping" with my now ex gf (she works with me). Now we don't even talk, it's so awkward
And now I guess one of my main bosses said that "one of us" were doing shortcuts with our work. Well obviously it's me because the golf cart was broken before I got on shift (we have to drive in it to get around and we're not allowed to use our own vehicle) so I had to walk all over site, I'm not exaggerating but this place is like 3 football stadiums, by the time I finished I was like this

But I at least tried!! If they tell me something today, I'ma put my 2 week notice.

I quit my last job because of poor management issues and it was in a complaints department. Not here for that sh**.

lol I am the WORST at keeping a job. It's almost uncanny how fast I can get one though.

My first job was when I was 17 and I was a cashier at Sears. I got fired three months into it because I couldn't get people to sign up for Sears Rewards Cards. AT ALL. lol. (not fired but "let go" )

When I worked at The Children's Place, I just stopped going because they cut my hours and I got a job at Christmas Tree Shop, which I also just stopped going to because they wanted me to be a Cashier when I'm supposed to be on the floor so after my first paycheck, I bounced. I got a new job as a janitor in a market called Saeed's and I stayed there for six months until I decided to go to school. When I got to the school, I hated it after a few days and when I tried to get my job back at Saeed's, they already gave it to someone else

I worked at a Hotel for two years up until Jan 2014 and I quit on the spot because I was tired of the cattiness and the fact that it was 30 mins away from home I won't even mention the jobs I've kept for a day or two before moving on to the next one

I would always come late or not show up at all.
But they wouldn't fire me, so I quit 5 mins before my shift started.

I've been on the edge of glory a few times but no I have yet to quit my job

I got fired from Hollister because I took a poop. It was the "uncool" thing to do while working.

I quit my job as a telemarketer because it was getting boring.

It was fun and exciting at first, but after a while it just got repetitive; I was getting sick of repeating the same tedious task over and over again. Plus, I was working almost 12 hours a day and it was taking everything out of me. You have to be SO upbeat and happy on the phone, and doing that for twelve hours is draining.

I've been close to quitting my store and moving over to the bigger one in town but in the end I stayed and now I'm happily working for a promotion and watching everybody else squabble about our awful manager.

Wow, 12 hour shifts as a telemarketer? I see why you quit.

Well during senior year of high school I worked at McDonalds, I stopped showing up I quit and I really don't know why. I think it was because they kept putting me on grill everyday and it was hot as **** and I hate sweating. It was weird because I knew how to make the chicken nuggets and make the burgers, but they kept putting me on the grill everyday. I was extremely annoyed

I quit a seasonal job right out of high school at a retailer because they hired me to work flow for minimum wage, then made me unload trucks all day (a job that pays $3 an hour more).

Also quit at Directv once because they would not work with my school schedule.

Ok, I am like a professional in the food service industry. I absolutely excel at standing at a register ant talking to people, I like to work the drive-thru because it is exciting to talk to someone without seeing them, I feel a rush when a restaurant gets packed.

I love the food service industry


but

every time a new manager arrives they HATE me. They think I am trying to show off and make them look bad, but I just enjoy my work. so i quit

I swear there is something that happens to a person when they get the tiniest bit of power. It is why I will never ever be a manager, I need to be out in the action.

I've had this job, but god damn they hired a new manager and he is wearing my patience. He hates me because he is short and lazy. He is vain and vengeful. I hate him, but I cannot afford to not be making money right now because I refuse to move back in with my parents!

Omg I work at Sears too! but as a merchandising and pricing associate in the men's department.
I feel so bad for the cashiers trying to sign up the customer with their credit card gimmicks.

This is also my first job, and it was really fun the first 5 months in it (I got hired in June 2013) but now I want to find another job and quit because I am getting tired of doing the same routine over and over and just getting $8/hr. I am always tired because I always try to do my best and help around and clean. But when its a hot guy, I push myself and to try and help him on anything.

No but I was extremely close to getting fired in corn detasseling last year

yup told my boss after he said he could find someone to replace me that i quit and i told him he was a self centered bipolar close minded piece of **** two weeks later i got my job back and my boss is now a lot nicer and understanding and open minded with the whole staff
