This is such a hard issue b/c I wouldn't want to insist on using a word I know offends people, but on the same token drag queens have just as much cultural claim to the word tranny as transsexuals do. That word was used as a slur targeted towards them as well.
I feel like Madison is implying that people who have completed their physical transition are somehow more transgender, as they've 'got their transition together'

Perhaps people are over-sensitive about certain words, but you shouldn't let anyone, not even someone from your own community tell you what you should and what you should not be offended by
