An Anderson Cooper-obsessed wacko was about to cop to a six-year stalking campaign against the CNN anchor but the plea was derailed when he choked up and could not admit his creepiness was threatening.

Alex Hausner would not confess that his relentless attempts to meet and speak to Cooper — including at least four attempts to get into the newsman’s West Village home — amounted to a scary ordeal.

After a long pause, he got teary and tried to convince the judge he agreed in order to get the plea through and get released from custody.

“If that’s how he felt, I accept that,” the accused stalker said.
“I don’t really know what to say other than I did do this. I will admit that I did it.
“I might not have been aware of ... if that’s what was felt, then yes,” Hausner said, fighting back tears.

“How many times did the security at his studio tell you not to come around? How many times - 20, 30?
The long-haired defendant shyly told him, “Uh, 30,” before the judge went back at it.

“They had a poster up (saying) watch out for this guy. He’s been stalking [Cooper},” Solomon said. “That’s what I read. I'm not making this stuff up.”
