Could Taylor Swift pull off a "Wake Me Up" ?
We all know Taylor aims for a more pop sound for her singles, so it is not impossible she will pull a Wake Me Up on her next lead single.
Country-house hybrid: would it work for her?
(i would love it

The Lord could pull off anything, but I'd rather her not go this route.

Of course not.
When she tried to combined Pop and Country, we just got Dance
or
a very watered down branch of Country. She has yet to mesh the two in perfect harmony.

She pulled off Dub-step country pop with the pop classic
I Knew You Were Trouble
.
Gave us Bubblegum pop country with the #1 hit single
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
.
Then the Acoustic pop hybrid
22
so yes, she could pull it off.
Icannot

Urban and Rhythmic stations paid the song dust though. 90% of its AI came from Pop.
YBWM is a Country-Pop masterpiece. I don't she'll ever be able to top that.
