Pink: I listen to Eminem and he makes it okay. I don’t agree with any of his views. I’m totally non-homophobic and I’m not racist at all. I don’t have any prejudices. But I think it’s hilarious that someone can finally say whatever they want and not give a ****. I’m inspired by his realness, bluntness, and honesty and I don’t have to agree with his views to be able to laugh at them.

There is allot of wisdom in that comment.

Have you listened to his early music? Even as late as Rap God has homophobic comments.

That's hardy unfounded though, I am not saying he is but many people get that impression from him because of some of his lyrics. He has (and has explained) his reasons and I don't believe he is truly homophobic or raciest but I can see why people think it. Also I think the whole culture within rap music is a bit like that so idk if it's an excuse or not.

But anyway I meant about her being able to appreciate the freedom of speech and the talents of a person whilst putting aside personal opinions.

It can be very hard to do it and I find it interesting that some people can.

First to everyone - i know about his "homophobic" lyrics that is not in question. But racist?

And well i mean I am gay and i love Eminem, so i just like to ignore the few homophobic moments in his songs; and just remember that he himself has said that he is not.

I love Eminem, but I can see why she said that. I don't think that was at the peak of his controversial lyrics, so they hadn't become a huge topic of discussion just yet, and therefore he hadn't been able to clarify that the lyrics weren't intended to insult people of certain races or with certain sexual preferences. She wasn't wrong, some of the lyrics could have been very offensive. But I think she's simply saying that while she wouldn't say that because she supports those people and he doesn't, she loves his music. I agree with that 100%. Obviously, though, she's fine with it because they did two songs together that absolutely slayed.

He said many times that he isnt homophobic(60 Minutes Rolling Stones) actually he even said, in November, it was better a bad reaction than no reaction.

As the racist lyrics, there was a tape, released by Benzino, when he was 15 rapping some racist lyrics, so he was young though so no big deal

I'm not going to discuss some of Eminem's lyrics because they can be quite disturbing but I agree with Pink, at least Eminem is honest

She isn't insinuating anything, she's stating it outright because it's true and at this point everyone is already aware of it.

I know when she met Eminem, Eminem said: I love you, and she said I love you back

He's mocking, she's laughing at it, everything's okay (even if she might doubt about him mocking or being serious)

Late with this, but the thing is that eminems 'honesty' ( ) isn't him saying everything he thinks. He does things to be funny and to make people think and to provoke controversy. He says this in a bunch of songs actually. It's all tongue in cheek. He's not at all racist and he's fine with gay people. If you don't agree with him doing that stuff, even as a joke, that's fine and understandable. But don't mistake it for real life views and personality. Outside music he's very reserved and quiet and awkward. Satire, alter egos, etc.

I like Pink's personality even though I can't stand Eminem.
