I hope she releases one of the more serious singles later on to give it that artistic video much needed from her. But I am really looking forward to seeing this video.
To be completely honest, she's a good actress. At least in this.
But you know, I guess i'm too old to be entertained by such childish gags? How is this artistic development? Uncle was such a great step in the right direction and now she's reverting back to LFN Katy in order to appease the dumb public. It's frustrating because I know Katy cares about her artistry. I know Katy wants to show the world that she is an artist and an adult, but she's stuck in a contract with a label that forces her to do the dumbest stuff in order to sell.
I'm guessing this is going to be an immature mess like Dark Horse. I thought it was gonna be 'insane'? Dressing up as characters in insane? I wish her fans wouldn't support such childish nonsense, but her fanbase cares primarily about #1 singles, so as long as that happens they will be happy.
You know, there is this emotion called 'fun' that makes you smile and laugh and feel good and entertained. Judging by her work I don't think it is Katy's priority to show the world how mature she is, she just wants people to bop along and have a great time. She is not here for the pretentiousness mess that others are going through. That's what makes her so refreshing.
There are lots of ways to interpret the word insane. And yes we do care about number ones but also about having fun and listening to her music.
y'all need to stop being so serious. i'm now really excited for this. it looks so ridiculous that it's a masterpiece. i love when she just goes all out like this. it looks fun and it looks like it'll fit with the song.

I really have to commend Katy, she had no plans to release Dark Horse, but it smashed, she rushed a video that ended up being good, and she continued on with her era. I love that about her.

I can't at pressed people assuming every person has to make and listen to mature music. Let loose and have some fun, that's what Katy is about. She admits she's weird and corky and just wanting to have fun. Mature music doesn't mean good or better music. She caters to her audience. And the pressed favs super mature music caters to them.
