Why does : sistrens : have an "s" when the word itself is already plural, meaning "sisters". It should be : sistren : instead. It's making me a bit pressed.

Generally on ATRL people use the improper "sistrens" rather than "sistren" anyway, so it likely stems from that initial misconception.
