With immature stan lingo like "you mad" and "thirsty", I'm going to assume this Twitter account is ran by an intern at Capitol Records. We know the truth, Katy has been exposed. It's just unfortunate that no one from the bigger stations has enough courage to stand up against the fraudulent schemes that Katy's team constantly partakes in.

But how do they know people dislike it when they have yet to play it?

not literally with money. it's done with radio festivals or doing exclusive interviews and such. but i doubt that happens with smaller radio stations.. also i think they'd just ignore those accusations instead of confront them. many people don't even know these things exist. so im sure they prefer to just shut up about it

tbh i think that only happens with those big american or UK radio stations.. like z100 etc. smaller radio stations just follow the big ones or play what's hot/popular and gets the most requests..

Queen of payola

He didn't have to respond, he could have ignored it.

1. It's illegal, of course they wouldn't admit payola. It's in their interest to actively deny.
2. The influential major stations are the ones labels "bribe" (not necessarily with money), the rest follow suit.
3. This guy admitting bias is demonstrating why airplay shouldn't factor in the charts. It's not an accurate measurement of consumer popularity like sales and streams.

Stopped reading at "I'm going to assume", instead of assuming, why don't you only base it off what you really know? And you don't know anything.

Haters stay upset, Katy will get another hit with Birthday, and you can scream and cry payola, tweet every little radio station in the country, and stomp your feet on the ground as much as you want, but you're never going to get anything because there is no illegal payola. Capitol is not that stupid, and Katy is the most popular artist in the US right now so there's no need for it.

Those numerous clear channel deals says otherwise.
