She's influenced alot of the newer girls. I can see how some younger stans might not understand her impact but she really was a pop culture phenomenon.

Janet set the trend for teen popstars to transition to a sexual image during adulthood, Britney's image was actually based on that. But Britney does have some influence with it as well.

It depends on your definition of a what a popstar is. The careers of those three are different from that of Britney and Madonna, Janet comes close but even then, eh. Whitney and Mariah should be classified as singers rather than 'popstars' imo.

Britney and Janet have a lot of similarities and most of her style was influenced by Janet's. Some stans need to acknowledge that more often and stop acting like it was all about Madonna.
