So, Rihanna has 70.6% yes votes and 29.4% no votes. Her approval rating would be 41.2%

Laverne Cox (trans actress from Orange Is The New Black) has 87.9% yes votes and 12.1% no votes. Her approval rating would be 75.8%.

You understand, right? I'm pretty sure this form of calculation is used to prevent any people who are very divisive in the votes (say, 51% yes with 49% no votes) to sneak in at the bottom of the top 100.
