This has always been in my head, I feel like white people accept hispanic people more because lighter skin, is this racist?
For example: I go to my white friend's house and they're okay with me but my African American friend went to that same friend's house and her mom toll her she had nice hair and then asked my black friend if she had a weave
Hmmm, I'm a light skinned black.
With a lot of spanish friends, I've noticed their first words are usually.
"You're black, stop lying. You must be mixed or something."
Can't help but wonder would they love me if I were darker ?
I'm neither black nor white looking though , so what am I
I totally get THAT though. I have a lot of relatives from PR that I have no clue how I would classify them honestly, but that's also due to seeing Latin perspectives of race through a U.S. filter. It's not 1-1.
