Why? I'm really going to come off as racist or whatever but saying this, but quite honestly, Puerto Ricans aren't that immersed in their culture at all. Most Puerto Ricans I know are *takes breath* either too busy being gay or being black to really grasp their roots. I'd say ANY OTHER nationality in the world would be better than that.
HOWEVER, I stays by my Puerto Ricans.
As far as what I'd rather be, I love being Dominican but Brazilians, as far as the country and their lifestyle and the beautiful people have always intrigued me.

YOU RACIST SON OF A BITCH!

FIrst of all just because alot of us Puerto Ricans don;t speak spanish does not mean that we aren't immersed in our culture. The fact of the matter is that us Boricuas migrated here during the 30s and 40s and currently are in 3rd generation. (This means that Grandparents were born there so as a result we have become assimilated into American Culture) None of the other 2nd generation immigrant spicks understand that but they will when they have kids i presume.
I dunno about being gay lol.... so i will leave you alone there
and personally just because i tend to hang out with mostly black ppl & date them dun mean anything.... i grew up near flatbush and u know my family issues.
&& BTW i love my Puerto Ricaness even though it is bougie lolz. Im more Brooklarican than anything i guess. Im proud of my so called: Rosie Perez-ness

Perhaps if i lived in El Bronx or Sunset i would be different...who knows
And FYI you betta stand the **** by me or else cuz u know u lovez it!!!
