I agree that people shouldn't pull the race card at every chance they get, but to say it's all a mentality is just ignorant.
He's basically says systematic and institutional racism do not exist. It's all in our head and we should move on with our lives imagining we are equal to everyone and will be treated as such.
Of course not, but a person wishing that they were something else other than what they are means that there is something going on that needs be dealt with internally.
