"Need You Now" is a horrible enough song already, but when it's compared to a true country classic like "If I Die Young," it becomes apparent that it is utter trash.

You don't really understand eligibility periods re: The Grammys, do you? "Blown Away" and "Two Black Cadillacs" were apart of two DIFFERENT eligibility periods (2011 - 2012 and 2012 - 2013, respectively) and thus could not compete against each other. Therefore, "Blown Away" could not have been 'blown over' for "Two Black Cadillacs."

The chances of Carrie winning two Grammys in the same category year after year is almost moot (as it is for every artist). The fact that she did it once already is amazing, but "Two Black Cadillacs" never really had a chance.

Sis, they're both songs on alcoholism so neither is remotely new thematically. Carrie definitely took a fresher route with it and gave a better vocal performance, but the melody in DoY is just so much better. Plus, "Blown Away" ruined "Two Black Cadillacs" ha chance at a Grammy and that is unforgivable.

I agree that the song isn't bad, it just shouldn't have gotten the Grammy over TBC, which had to take a dive because Carrie won the year before. DoY, GG, IDWTNTE and EIIBYH are the only other great country songs that year, but GG couldn't be my choice, either, because then it would place Carrie in the same predicament.
