Whenever your best mate breaks up with a boyfriend you're also friend with, it can be a bit awkward. But apparently that hasn't stopped Ri hanging out with John and the pair were spotted hanging out at LA's Soho House this week.
"John and Rihanna appeared very friendly in a corner," a source told Heat and apparently the pair even shared a "lingering goodnight hug as John departed the lounge shortly after 11pm."
"It seems like such a low blow. Rihanna has been so negative about John, she's always told Katy he's not worth her tears. SO to find out that Ri was being all friendly withhim is incredibly hurtful. Katy see it as a betrayal.
"Rihanna has always been the dominant one in the friendship. Things only work if Katy lets her take charge. But lately it seems Katy hasn't been as accommodating, so that's caused some drama.
The source added: "Katy's disgusted with her [Rihanna] and is fed up with being hurt. This year is all about making tough choices that are best for her in the long run, even if they're painful. It's the last time she'll let Rihanna hurt her."
