It's an online music streaming site. It's completely free and the music is actually current. I never hear anyone talk about it on here. I haven't bought a single song or album since I started using it.

The web version is the free one. However you have to pay to use the app although the app isn't really worth it.

i use it sometimes, when i specifically want to listen to something and decide if i like it or not and i don't necessarily want to own/download it.

Why? We already have spotify, iTunes Radio, Pandora, Beats Music, Google Play

Yes, it's the best streaming service ever. Better than Spotify.

Spotify: you don't control what plays unless you narrow it down by artist, album, playlist or genre. even then you still don't have control over what plays.

iTunes Radio: You select a specific playlist and... you don't have control over what plays.

Pandora: i mean come on this is the earliest form of "you don't control what plays"

Beats Music: idk what that is

Google Play: you have to buy your music, there is virtually no difference between that and iTunes.

Grooveshark is free and you can select what you want to listen to without paying for it or having to go through the hassle of organizing a playlist or radio. you can just add the song to the cache and will play whenever you want it to.

Grooveshark desktop is cool but their tagging is worse than DatPiff's.

The mobile version through Cydia was okay when I used it. I don't know if they upgraded it.
