This is a pretty good poll, actually. I feel like people respect Britney because of her success but respect Alicia because of her talent (not to say they don't have both, it's just how they're portrayed in terms of now).

I'm going with Alicia Keys because her artistry in general is remembered and highly respected. Fallin' is honestly one of the best songs of the 21st century, it's simply perfect.

She's got 15 GRAMMYs, an iconic hit with over 160M views (that's more views than ANY Britney Vevo video) , her last album sold almost 3 times what Britney Jean. Saying she isn't remembered compared to Brit is just

Britney's career is more respected, but again Alicia has more respect for her vocals, Grammy awards and maybe because of all pop girls she is least controversial and still successful.

This is what i feel like. No doubt Britney had a bigger career than Alicia, Madonna also had the bigger career than lets say Aretha Franklin, but out of the 4 it's easy to say which 2 are respected. I mean Alicia's 15 GRAMMYs speak for themselves. But i guess having a big career and success also brings you respect.
