Dress Code for Parents dropping kids in High School
Check this out sistrens.. A Florida High School wants that the parents who drop off the kids at school follow a specific dress code.
Quote:
Broward County School Board member Dr. Rosalind Osgood brought up the idea during a meeting after noticing parents dropping their kids off at Boyd Anderson High School while wearing saggy pants that exposes their underwear and curlers in their hair.
“We have dads showing up in sagging pants,” Osgood said, according to the Sun Sentinel. “It’s hard for me to tell a child not to show up for school with hair curlers, pajamas or short shorts if they see parents wearing them. Parents need to lead by example.”
It's a high school. Parents do not WALK the students INSIDE the school when they drop them off.
Well in that case...
I drop my little brother off at high school all the time looking like hell. If I know I don't have to get out of the car and am just going straight from there to home, it doesn't really matter. It isn't the school's business what wardrobe I'm wearing while sitting in my vehicle.
I thought this was a primary school or something where the parents walk the children into the building.
if you're dropping your kid off (while you're in the car) I could care less what you're wearing. But I do agree, if you walk into an establishment, atleast wear something.
When I was growing up, I always remember my mom telling me no matter how crappy you feel, or what youre going through you have to put on some decent clothes. Now that doesn't mean brand spanking new, most expensive clothes. We all have an old pair of jeans, shorts, and a old T-shirt laying around. I can remember several times where my mom was sick and had to pick me up from school (inside at the office) but she atleast put on presentable clothes.
If they are just dropping their kids off, the school can't tell them what to wear in their own vehicles. If they were entering the school, it would be a different story.
I never understood why people went to school with their pajamas. I've seen that **** when I was in high school. Some of them looked like they just got out of bed.
