Am I the only one who ****ing hates this show?

Why was this show so successful on CBS? Why did it last so long? It wasn't even funny, it was like a low budget version of FRIENDS.

I only saw some of it cause of Britney and Alyson Hannigan

My mom doesn't like it...but I really like it.

What baffles me is Big Bang Theory's success.

HIMYM is okay. a lot of my friends like it.

I don't know, it's almost never funny and every episode is the same.

cause all in all it was a relatable and funny show. and it is a little like Friends which is probably why people were turned on in the first place.

also the suspense for who the mother was was a huge factor people clung onto for 9 years.

The Big Bang Theory is actually funny and well written although I will admit it's gotten a bit stale and I don't really watch it anymore.

I think the fact that people were expecting and looking forward to a happy ending was actually something that pulled people in. It's strange how a known ending (well, now we know it was NOT known) managed to be pulled off so successfully.

I have no idea, it was so corny.

Because it's basically "Friends" w/ a twist.

I feel like it learned to appeal to young adults well, they saw themselves in the characters sort of like in New Girl but Queen Zooey>>>the girl who used the flute in a camp in American Pie tbh

Because it's a great show, way better than friends imo.

It had a nice tone to it that was generic enough for all audiences to get into it but not so generic that it's dumb.

A better question is, Has Alyson Hannigan been good in anything other than Buffy?

Yes, her character was my favorite one from HIMYM.

I had a mad crush on Ted at one point

Never found this or Big Bang Theory remotely funny.

It used to be a great show but the last 2 season were really bad.
