Death at Monsters pulling out chart numbers. You realize the industry was very different then? Album sales go down every year. And as far as singles, during Stripped and somewhat B2B, radio was very RnB which hurt the pop gurls. You think if streaming / radio now existed, Dirrty wouldn't have SMASHED?! Look at Wrecking Ball shooting to #1 because of streaming, Dirrty was at least as big as that video if not more. And Beautiful would not have been blocked by some irrelevant song from #1.

GaGa had a much bigger decline. Christina's decline started in 2006, 7 years after her debut, and she still won a Grammy, sold 4.7 million copies and received critical acclaim. Plus, Christina's decline was a result of her not giving a single **** about the Industry and releasing a soul inspired non-commercial album after a 4-year hiatus. GaGa's decline happened with well promoted, radio friendly pop songs. Also, Christina's 3rd single from her decline era managed to chart in the Top 20 in many major markets without much promo or a 7-minute high-budget video. I'm going to sit here and wait for 'G.U.Y.' to do it
