Honestly, I think it's funny, 'cause sounding 'black' (Ebonics) originates from "white people" if you truly wish to be technical. They originally spoke broken English, the slaves adopted the form in which it was spoken. Let's not forget that they were stripped from their homeland (where they had their own language and accent) to this country. Sounding "white" in that sense doesn't really exist. It's speaking properly, plainly and simply.
