Don't get me wrong, I think Beyonce deserves all her success because she is mega talented. That said, her boyfriend/ husband is a hip hop mogul who was featured on her first solo single, her dad has some clout in the music business, she was the lead singer of a successful band for a very long time...

All the other pop girls started out solo as a no-name artiste.

Beyonce is definitely at the top but I think the road was to a degree paved for her - but again I'm not hating because she 1) works very hard 2) has the talent to back it all up.

Katy, Rihanna, Adele and many other pop girls seem to be doing just fine tho
