It's not rescuing as in helping everyone else's sales. No artist has the power to increase everyone's album sales. It's rescuing as in she's the only one right now with the sales to stop the industry from continuing to pull in declining numbers every year with HER sales.
Anyways, the industry should see an increase this year no matter what with Adele AND Taylor releasing. Adele will likely do a surprise announcement for her album like JT did, which should generate a lot of return buzz and give her huge sales. (Only difference is she'll likely release an album worth the hype)
