I agree with alot of the statements regarding artists coming and going. I feel really worried that we're entering an era where artists are unable to establish themselves (unlike the late 90's to the mid 2000's) - a lot of success is dependent upon, as beyonce said, quick smash singles coupled with short bursts of hype without much staying power. Unless someone new proves everyone wrong I guess, but I just don't see any new legends coming soon.
Christina resurrected the career of struggling pop rock band Maroon 5 in 2011, 4 years after their last smash hit at the time. She also gave Pitbull a hit after a short time period of underperforming and now he's slaying again. She also took a song that had struggled to sell 50k copies in 2 months and made it 3x platinum. Let's not even talk about how she single handedly saved NBC and Epic
