A couple of days ago, CNN reported that the two sons of the Mexican Cartel boss that got arrested are on twitter. Their pics show a lavish party lifestyle filled with expensive cars, exotic baby animals, closets full of money, airplanes etc. I've seen the pics. I could only see them in disgust.

I could not live with myself with all that money knowing my father caused so much evil and suffering in the world.

So, would you stay and continue using his money, or would you leave and live life knowing that you probably will never see that kind of money again?

It's pretty disgusting. If I ever had actual billions I would only ever keep like $30m tops. All the rest to charity. As long as I have money to travel I'm happy. I would just travel and write.

I would try to give the money to charity...but that would be hard. They wouldn't want blood money.

meh. If I didn't do anything bad I don't see anything wrong with using it. I'd definitively use the money for good though---help the less fortunate, help people affected, etc.

I'd take some of it and leave to live on my own and never associate with my father again. I'd also give some of it away to good causes so that some of that negative energy about where the money came from could get canceled out.

It's only a matter of higher spendings. Most of us live fine, or at least try and pretend to, knowing that a large part of the goods we consume are produced in third world countries by some child labor or poor people earning 1$ an hour in awful conditions (labor camps) leading some of these people to suicide (ex : Foxconn).

When you have more money, it's the same thing in bigger proportions.
