Isn't ARTPOP really popular in, like, Asia? I remember it out-doing Avril in Japan which is cool.
If the jumpy synths in Applause did not make it apparent enough, Lady Gaga is a fully-fledged J-Pop act. Her worldwide success, or better yet: activity, is very commendable imo.
I heard they're coming out with a new version of Botney called Botney 2G

The Gaga fans were boosting Lana too though. 90% of the Gaga fans here had either Lana or Azealia avis in 2012. Then, after they both started hating Gaga some took on Lorde and Iggy instead.
