She wasn't supposed to sing the stuff that's on Prism but look what happened. Katy is a puppet, she's not stupid, but there's only so much that can be done when your whole image and sound is a certain way. People aren't gonna care for a more mature sound from her because nobody wants that from her- they have other "real" artists for that.
